The risen Jesus sends people who are still learning how to respond. His authority and presence give us a foundation for a truthful, obedient, and shared life of discipleship. Choose one practice for today; return to the others when useful.

Take a Faithful Step with Mixed Feelings
Scripture: Matthew 28:8–10.
The women leave the tomb with fear and great joy. They do not wait for one feeling to cancel the other before carrying the message. As they go, Jesus meets them and directs them toward his brothers.
Our emotions often arrive together. Gratitude may coexist with uncertainty, and a clear responsibility may still make us nervous. This scene invites us to distinguish unsettled feelings from the absence of a faithful next step.
Identify something Jesus' teaching already makes clear for you: tell the truth, seek reconciliation, offer mercy, or keep a promise. You do not need to manufacture perfect confidence before beginning. Take the step with an honest prayer for help.
Ponder: What clear act of obedience have I delayed until I feel completely ready?
Practice: Take one modest step today while naming both your hope and your uncertainty in prayer.
Let Truth Matter More than Convenience
Scripture: Matthew 28:11–15.
The guards report what happened and are then paid to tell a different story. The new account serves the interests of those arranging it. Matthew places this purchased message beside the women’s truthful witness.
A convenient version of events can be tempting even without money changing hands. We may omit our part, strengthen a claim beyond what we know, or repeat a story because it protects our position. Faithfulness requires care with what we say.
Before describing a difficult event, distinguish what you saw, what you inferred, and what remains unknown. Correct an exaggeration if you notice one. Truthful speech is an ordinary way to honor the Lord whose resurrection these witnesses proclaim.
Ponder: Where am I tempted to make a story more useful to me than accurate?
Practice: Correct one misleading impression or state a needed uncertainty plainly.
Help Someone Learn the Way of Jesus
Scripture: Matthew 28:16–20.
Jesus commissions the disciples to make disciples, baptize, and teach obedience. The assignment extends beyond passing along information. It concerns people learning to live under his teaching in the company of his people.
We may imagine that helping someone follow Jesus requires having every answer. Patient learning together can begin much more simply. We can read a passage, listen to a question, admit what we do not know, and practice a clear command.
Consider someone who is open to that kind of conversation. Offer an invitation without pressure and be willing to learn alongside them. Jesus' promise of presence supports the work; it does not require you to become someone else's savior.
Ponder: Who might welcome a simple conversation about learning to follow Jesus?
Practice: Invite a willing person to read a short Gospel passage together and discuss one way to practice it.
Carry This with You
The risen Jesus is with his people as they learn, obey, and help others follow.
Prayer: Risen Jesus, thank you for your presence. Help me tell the truth, practice your teaching, and encourage another person to learn your ways. Amen.
